Missed you at congregational seder last night. Had some new pesach songs along with the usual… Hey Jews (Hey Jude) and I’m Sick of the Murrain (I’m Singing in the Rain)… fun! Rabbi Marshall Klaven visiting from ISJL – very upbeat and charismatic. Been a Rabbi for all of 8 months and LOVES his job! It showed. He did a song and dance with the kids to Louie Louie (Pharoah Pharoah) About 80 showed up. Full house – all stayed for over a 3 hr seder and meal. Hope your “this year in Jerusalem” was wonderful. hugs – Les
oops…I don’t have it…email Linda (firstname.lastname@example.org. it’s a hoot
PS – I know you, Steve. You did everything you knew to do for Noah. You cannot go to that place where you question … did I do enough? You can’t do more than what you know at the time. We learn and grow from these tragedies, but of course, that in itself does not mend a broken heart. Self-blame is a useless emotion. Don’t own it. You were a wonderful father and friend and teacher to him and to so many. Look at the amazing work you are doing – the insights – the impact you are having on so many many lives. Your work has great meaning, and I am confident that your experience with your son has added depth and breadth to your work, your giving nature, and to your soul. That was Noah’s gift to you. Rest easy.
lots of hugs, Les
